MoodMaster is a sister organisation to The Association For Psychological Therapies. The latter (APT) is a successful training organisation providing courses for qualified mental health professionals. MoodMaster has been established to provide the same quality of materials direct to the ‘end-user’.
Over 80,000 mental health professionals have attended APT training in the last 30 years. MoodMaster was established in 2008 to provide input directly to those who want it.
So MoodMaster provides (a) groups that give important input and reflection-time to people who wish to attend them and (b) ‘Apps’ which can be downloaded to your mobile phone or other mobile device. In both cases the aim is to provide the same quality of information that mental health professionals receive, direct to the end user.
The MoodMaster Team
Amy Roberts - Co Founder and Director
I have worked as the assistant director of APT - a major provider of training for mental health professionals - for nearly ten years and I know that many people don’t like talking about their problems let alone going to seek help. I see MoodMaster as a bridge between everyday people and complex psychological practices.
I hope it will benefit all of those people who have been afraid to seek assistance in the past, and allow them to find help in a really friendly group.
Dr William Davies - Co Founder and Director
I am a consultant clinical psychologist and have worked in mental health for over 30 years. The reason I want to see MoodMaster succeed is that it provides everybody who wants it with a very positive, upbeat approach to working on their mental and physical well-being. It seems to me that there are many many people who want to do this, without necessarily going along to the health service and becoming ‘patients’. Just as people now want to be physically fit without seeing a doctor, so now can people look after their mental well-being without entering the medical arena.
